Pine Needle Basket Weaving Workshop

Registration fee includes Hands-on Instruction, Book, and Basketry supplies (with enough to make up to three more baskets depending upon the size). It takes about 6-8 weeks to process pine needles for a workshop. Geraldine Zelinsky comes with a wealth of knowledge that she is willing to share with workshop attendees, from the history and plight of the Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris), to prepping materials and finally to creating your very own basket.

 The registration fee is $180. Deadline to register (with payment) is Thursday, May 25.

(The reason for the early deadline allows Geraldine time to not only order all the supplies but she must go through a process of applying glycerin to the pine needles and allowing time to dry.)
