DESCRIPTION:EVENT: Youth Weightlifting Program / USA Weightlifting\n \nDATE(S): Monday – Thursday and Saturdays \nTIME(S): 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Saturdays)\nWHERE: LSU-Shreveport USA Weightlifting Center for High Performance and Development (Health & Physical Education Building\, One University Place\, Shreveport) \n  \nINFORMATION: Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is partnering with LSU-Shreveport’s nationally recognized youth weightlifting program\, offering weightlifting-specific skill training\, combined with strength and conditioning that is accessible and challenging for beginners to intermediate-level weightlifters. All workout sessions are conducted by certified USA Weightlifting instructors. This program is for youth (children) ages 8 – 18. Cost: $50.00 for an annual USA Wannual USA Weightlifting membership. DESCRIPTION:Calling all area Disc Golfers! Caddo Parish Park and Recreation Department and Shreveport-Bossier Disc Golf Union have joined forces to host the Inaugural Earl G. Williamson Classic Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday\, August 22\, 2026. The tournament will be held at the beautiful Earl G. Williamson Park\, located at 11425 LA Hwy.1 in Oil City\, LA.\nThis will be a 2-round\, 18-hole tournament for players of all skill levels (Junior to Pro Open)\, ages 12 and older.\n\nThere will be a 45-player cap\, and various prizes will be awarded to top finishers in respective divisions.\n\nEntry fees will range from $25 – $55 per person\, pending player division. Also\, there will be an additional $15 fee for players without a current Professional Disc Golf Association membership.\nOnline registration is required!
