This program will provide a Tee Ball experience that is grounded in fun\, fitness\, and fundamentals. Young players in this age bracket will build confidence as they practice hitting a ball off a Tee\, running bases\, catching\, and throwing. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required. The ladies will settle things first\, playing tonight\, Monday\, March 16\, 2026\, at Southwood High School\, tipoff @ 6:00 p.m. Walnut Hill Lady Hornets will host Youree Drive Lady Spartans Middle School.\n\n\n\nThe boys will play on Tuesday\, March 17\, 2026\, at Southwood High School\, tipping off at 6:00 pm. The Youree Drive Spartans will host Turner Tigers. DESCRIPTION:EVENT: Youth Weightlifting Program / USA Weightlifting\n \nDATE(S): Monday – Thursday and Saturdays \nTIME(S): 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Saturdays)\nWHERE: LSU-Shreveport USA Weightlifting Center for High Performance and Development (Health & Physical Education Building\, One University Place\, Shreveport) \n  \nINFORMATION: Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is partnering with LSU-Shreveport’s nationally recognized youth weightlifting program\, offering weightlifting-specific skill training\, combined with strength and conditioning that is accessible and challenging for beginners to intermediate-level weightlifters. All workout sessions are conducted by certified USA Weightlifting instructors. This program is for youth (children) ages 8 – 18. Cost: $50.00 for an annual USA Wannual USA Weightlifting membership.
