DESCRIPTION:Calling all Seniors! Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation\, with Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR)\, will host Senior Day in the Park. This event will consist of a fun-filled day of games\, fitness activities\, socialization\, fishing\, and lunch for senior citizens 55 and older while enjoying the natural beauty of the park. Local health and wellness resource agencies will be on site. SUMMARY:Yoga Hike at Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:With the equinox right around the corner\, what better time to recommit to a yoga practice. During this event\, we will embark on a hike down one of our beautiful trails at Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center and pick a spot away from all the noise and fuss of the modern world. Here we will be guided through a beginner friendly yoga sequence and spend some time working to reconnect with the nature around us. The hike itself will be approximately 1 mile in and and a half mile out. The Yoga sequence itself will be approximately 45 mins long. If you are wanting to practice on a mat\, then it will have to be carried in and out\, or you could take this opportunity to connect and ground with the earth.

Jacobs Memorial Nature Park Junior Naturalists Club!The mission of the Junior Naturalists Program is to foster an understanding and appreciation of Northwest Louisiana’s plants\, water\, soil\, and wildlife\, and to promote good stewardship. This program will be ongoing\, and the missing classes can be made up when they are offered again. This workshop is designed for ages 7 to 12.
