DESCRIPTION:EVENT: Youth Weightlifting Program / USA Weightlifting\n \nDATE(S): Monday – Thursday and Saturdays \nTIME(S): 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Saturdays)\nWHERE: LSU-Shreveport USA Weightlifting Center for High Performance and Development (Health & Physical Education Building\, One University Place\, Shreveport) \n  \nINFORMATION: Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is partnering with LSU-Shreveport’s nationally recognized youth weightlifting program\, offering weightlifting-specific skill training\, combined with strength and conditioning that is accessible and challenging for beginners to intermediate-level weightlifters. All workout sessions are conducted by certified USA Weightlifting instructors. This program is for youth (children) ages 8 – 18. Cost: $50.00 for an annual USA Wannual USA Weightlifting membership. DESCRIPTION:Space very limited. Call 929-2806 to register.Park Manager and Master Falconer Rusty Scarborough will use his trained birds of prey to demonstrate falconry hunting techniques. Participants should be prepared and able to hike off trail and on uneven terrain. This Year the event will be held at Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center This is a “hunt” program\, we will not necessarily follow trails. Dress appropriately for forest walking and expect to encounter wet areas and briars.
