CADDO PARISH PARKS AND RECREATION SUMMER BIKE RIDE SERIES

Caddo Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with SB Rides and SPAR, will host organized summer bike rides throughout several Shreveport communities, on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, during the month of July.

Youth and teens, ages 8 and up, will be able to ride through Shreveport neighborhoods in a safe, supervised, and fun-filled environment. Youth will also be able to parade through their own neighborhood streets with their friends, while listening to their favorite R&B or hip-hop music.

A brief safety class will be provided before each ride from 11:00 am -3:45 pm and the bike ride will begin at 4:00 pm. Cruise bikes will be provided for youth 12 years of age and up, who do not have their own bikes. Children under 12 years of age will need a helmet to ride.

We encourage all participants to bring their own bikes if at all possible. Children under 12 years of age will require a helmet to participate in the ride.

Caddo Parish Commission will provide hydration drinks, snacks and lunch on-site. Deadline to register for the first bike ride is June 26th. To register, visit Caddoparks.org and click the citizen’s portal tab.
