    The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

    Safety first!

    The floating pier at Earl G. Williamson Park in Oil City is temporarily CLOSED to begin repairs to a bushing on the pier. The pier will remain closed until all repairs can be completed.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation's two-day general skills and drills basketball camp, July 22-23, 2026, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, at LSUS, 1 University Pl, Shreveport, LA 71115, grades K-4th-8th has been changed to a one-day basketball camp. All campers will report on Thursday, July 23, 2026. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Walkups are welcome. Registration is still open. Registration is required.
