The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

Protecting Children Starts with Awareness and Spotting the Warning Signs of Sexual Assault
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office invites parents, guardians, educators, and community members to attend R.E.D. F.L.A.G.S. 101 is a free program designed to help adults recognize the warning signs of child sexual assault and take proactive steps to protect children.
R.E.D. F.L.A.G.S. serves as a guide to identifying behaviors that may indicate abuse, including:
- Recognizing changes in behavior
- Engaging in open conversations
- Documenting unusual events or comments
- Noticing fear of certain individuals
- Observing a lack of boundaries
- Watching for avoidance of physical contact
- Being aware of gifts or secrets from adults
- Detecting sexualized behavior or knowledge beyond the child's age

**Thursday, February 12, 2026**
**10 a.m. – 12 p.m.**
All sessions will be held at the Community Relations and Crime Prevention Office,
1501 Corporate Dr., Shreveport, LA 71107.
Participants will gain practical tools to recognize potential signs of abuse, respond appropriately, and help keep children in our community safe.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Coaches/Parents Wee Ball, T-Ball, and Coach Pitch League Organizational Meeting, February 10, 2026, at 6pm-7pm, at Morning Star Baptist, 5340 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA. 71109. This meeting is to discuss the league rules, policies, and procedures, required paperwork, and hard deadlines.
Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation will offer a Wee Ball ages 3, T-Ball League ages 4-6, and Coach Pitch ages 7-8. This program will provide a Tee Ball/Baseball experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals.
Caddo Parish is seeking coaches, team moms, and volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of the coaching team or would just like to sign your child up, please come to the meeting.
