    The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

    "Girl, You Got It" Basketball and Empowerment Camp Ages: 6- 14 (girls only) Date/Time: July 14, 2026, 9 am -2 pm Venue: LSU-Shreveport Gymnasium 1 University Pl, Shreveport, LA 71115 Registration Deadline: June 30, 2026 Cost: $20.00 Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Shantel Hardison, will host this unique camp to assist campers with refining their fundamental basketball skills. They will also receive encouraging motivation that will help them to achieve their life goals. In addition to the basketball skills/drills component, all campers will be required to attend a series of age-appropriate workshop presentations. Topics to include: Registration is required.
