    The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

    The Caddo Parish Lupus Awareness Health Fair on May 16, 2026, at Pinchback Park, 7903 Jefferson Paige Road, Shreveport, LA., 9 am – 12 pm, aims to educate the community, raise awareness, and highlight the long-term, day-to-day health impacts of lupus. Health professionals will serve as guest presenters, and on-site wellness screenings will be available. Light fitness activities will be offered. Please dress comfortably and wear purple.

    A healthy lunch and T-shirts will be provided to the first 50 participants who register and attend the health fair. The event is open to seniors, youth, and adults.

    Register/Sign in to the Citizens’ Portal at www.caddoparks.org for event information and registration.

    Caddo Parish T-Ball and Coach Pitch League Registration Season starts the week of June 1, 2026, /Game Schedule will be provided. Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation to offer a T-Ball (3-6) and Coach Pitch League (7-8). This program will provide a Tee Ball and Coach Pitch experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Young players in this age bracket will build confidence as they practice hitting a ball off a Tee, hitting coach pitches, running bases, catching, and throwing. Registration is required. Online registration at www.caddoparks.org. Player entry fee is $10.00. Players' registration Deadline April 10, 2026 (online).
