The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

Fitness in the Park, March 21, 2026, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., bring the entire family out for a morning of movement! You’ll find a variety of educational and fitness activities that promote healthy living, including group fitness demos, health screenings, nutritional literacy information, and more. This event is free to the public.
Participants may register on-site from 9 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. or complete pre-registration by March 19, 2026, and receive a free goody bag (supplies limited). Bring your mat, towel, hand weights, and water bottle

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation will sponsor the 2026 Caddo Parish Middle School Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball City Championships. The Caddo Parish Middle School Boys and Girls Basketball Championship matchup is set and features great teams.
The ladies will settle things first, playing tonight, Monday, March 16, 2026, at Southwood High School, tipoff @ 6:00 p.m. Walnut Hill Lady Hornets will host Youree Drive Lady Spartans Middle School.
The boys will play on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Southwood High School, tipping off at 6:00 pm. The Youree Drive Spartans will host the Turner Tigers. Please come out and support your local Middle School team.
