    The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

    Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Shreveport Strikers are excited to present a dynamic 3V3 soccer tournament, the Red River 3V3 Bayou Battle, on March 22, 2026, at Lee Hedges Stadium. It is designed to bring more soccer opportunities to our community. This fast-paced, high-energy format offers a super fun and engaging way for young players of all skill levels to get involved in the game. The event will be played on the AirPitch Format used by Arsenal, Manchester City, and many TOP clubs around the world.

    Enjoy a unique, non-stop-play environment with more dribbles, more passes, more intensity & more FUN!

    Registration
    Teams of 3-5: $250/Team
    Individual Players: $50/Player
    Boys and Girls Division:
    U6 – U 12, Middle School & High School

    Registration Deadline: Tuesday, March 18 @ 11:59PM (or until full)

    Fitness in the Park Saturday, March 21, 2026, 9 am to 12 pm. Bring the entire family out for a morning of fitness. For additional information contact Mary Murphy at mmurphy@caddo.gov.Fitness in the Park, March 21, 2026, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., bring the entire family out for a morning of movement! You’ll find a variety of educational and fitness activities that promote healthy living, including group fitness demos, health screenings, nutritional literacy information, and more. This event is free to the public.

    Participants may register on-site from 9 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. or complete pre-registration by March 19, 2026, and receive a free goody bag (supplies limited). Bring your mat, towel, hand weights, and water bottle

    Caddo Parish T-Ball and Coach Pitch League Registration Season starts the week of June 1, 2026, /Game Schedule will be provided. Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation to offer a T-Ball (3-6) and Coach Pitch League (7-8). This program will provide a Tee Ball and Coach Pitch experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Young players in this age bracket will build confidence as they practice hitting a ball off a Tee, hitting coach pitches, running bases, catching, and throwing. Registration is required. Online registration at www.caddoparks.org. Player entry fee is $10.00. Players' registration Deadline April 10, 2026 (online).     Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Coaches/Parents Wee Ball, T-Ball, and Coach Pitch League Organizational Meeting, February 10, 2026, at 6pm-7pm, at Morning Star Baptist, 5340 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA. 71109. This meeting is to discuss the league rules, policies, and procedures, required paperwork, and hard deadlines. Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation will offer a Wee Ball ages 3, T-Ball League ages 4-6, and Coach Pitch ages 7-8. This program will provide a Tee Ball/Baseball experience that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Caddo Parish is seeking coaches, team moms, and volunteers.
