The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Cumbre Alta Inner-City Soccer, will sponsor a series of one-day general skills and drills Soccer Clinics, on May 27, June 3, and June 10, 2026, 9:00 am – 11:30 am, at North Port Sports, located at 4800 Old Mooringsport Road., Shreveport, LA., for boys and girls ages 4-14.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation hosted its 2026 Seniors Day in the Park on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Richard Fleming Park.
More than 70 seniors gathered for a fun-filled day at the park enjoying Bingo for flowers, dancing, music, and fellowship. Lunch was provided by Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, making the event even more special for attendees.
Vendors were also on site sharing important health information and providing health checks for participants.
