    The Parish of Caddo Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for providing quality of life/leisure services to Caddo Parish citizens and visitors. The department maintains 16 sites throughout the Parish that include boat launches, ball fields, RV campground, multi-use trails, playgrounds and a nature center featuring a staffed visitor center with exhibits and live animals.

    On July 30, 2026, Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation hosted a successful youth basketball camp at LSUS for students in 5th through 8th grades. More than 95 young athletes participated in a full day of basketball skills, drills, and instruction led by the RW3 Coaches.

    In addition to developing their basketball abilities, campers received encouragement and motivation to pursue their dreams. Robert Williams addressed the group, sharing words of inspiration and generosity by providing each participant with a water bottle, a backpack, and a new basketball to take home.

    Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation also provided lunch for all campers. The event was a tremendous success, giving youth the opportunity to improve their skills, build confidence, and create lasting memories both on and off the court.     ... See MoreSee Less

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation's two-day general skills and drills basketball camp, July 22-23, 2026, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, at LSUS, 1 University Pl, Shreveport, LA 71115, grades K-4th-8th has been changed to a one-day basketball camp. All campers will report on Thursday, July 23, 2026. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Walkups are welcome. Registration is still open. Registration is required.
