Join Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park-Naturalist, Hulya Onel to study 6 basic biology subjects to become a Certified Junior Naturalist. The classes will be every other month. After completing all 6 courses, you will receive a certificate, a field guide of your choice as a reward and get to keep the course book prepared by the Naturalist, which contains all the information covered in the classes. Once you are a Certified Junior Naturalist, you will also be eligible to join Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park Junior Naturalists Club!
The mission of the Junior Naturalists Program is to foster an understanding and appreciation of Northwest Louisiana’s plants, water, soil, and wildlife, and to promote good stewardship. This program will be ongoing, and the missed classes can be made up when they are offered again. This workshop is for ages 7 to 12. Parents/older siblings/ guardians are welcome to sit with the children.
