FYI, Due to anticipated inclement freezing temperatures this weekend, upcoming Parks and Recreation Department closures are listed below:
- Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Center will be closed Saturday, January 24, through Monday, January 26, 2026, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. All programs/activities scheduled during this period will be rescheduled.
- All park restrooms will be closed beginning Friday, January 23, 2026. NOTE: Portable outdoor toilets will be placed at the following park locations:

ADDITIONAL MEDIA RELEASE INFORMATION: Water service will not be available at any Caddo Parish park picnic shelters/pavilions. Park trails at Eddie D. Jones will remain open, but caution is always advised for park and trail users. Wind, snow and ice can create unexpected hazards and irregular footing.
