Caddo 8th Annual Shreveport Family Christmas Festival & Parade

Caddo Parish, in conjunction with Gingerbread House and GEYA (Giving Education Your All), a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between school, home, and community through dynamic programming and meaningful family-centered events on December 20, 2025, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, at Festival Plaza, 101 Crockett St., Shreveport.  For nearly decades, this beloved kickoff to the holiday season had drawn thousands of families to downtown Shreveport for a day filled with joy, unity, cultural celebration, and cherished tradition.

This year, we are introducing an exciting new feature sponsored by Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, The Energy Zone, a high-energy, health-focused activation space designed to promote physical activity, wellness, and movement for all ages.  Bring the entire family out for a day of movement, wellness, and fun!  This event is free!
