From fun and festive events to health and wellness programs, the Winter Program Guide has something for everyone. Offerings include athletic, fitness, arthritis intervention, and nature education programs as well as the ever-popular events Christmas on the Caddo and Owl Night.
“As we continue to navigate the new normal of the Covid-19 pandemic, our Parks and Recreation Department is finding ways to bring back our favorite in-person events with some health and safety protocols in place and create new opportunities for our community to connect after so much time apart,” said Stacy Gray, Education Coordinator of Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation.
In addition to scheduled programs and activities offered this winter, all Caddo Parish public parks, playgrounds, green space, nature trails, and walking paths will be open to the general public daily from 6:00am – 9:00pm. Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 8am – 5pm, and Sunday from 1pm – 5pm.
All scheduled programs and events will be held in accordance with any applicable COVID-19 health and safety protocols in place.
