Caddo Parish 2024 “Takin’ It To The Streets”. AWARD WINNING “TAKING IT TO THE STREETS” SUMMER PROGRAM
Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is taking health, fitness, and community unity to the streets and neighborhoods of Caddo Parish with the return of its award-winning “Taking It To The Streets” summer initiative.
Taking it to the Streets is a summer “mobile fitness” program for youth and teens ages 4 – 16 designed to promote physical fitness, wellness, and unity in communities where there is often limited or no access to playgrounds. All events are free and open to the public.
The program offers a host of wholesome fun activities, including agility courses, organized games, sports activities, and more.

August 4 – 2pm -5:30pm – Booker T. Washington High School, 2104 Milan St., Shreveport, LA
August 10 – 10am-12noon – Caddo Heights Math/Science Elementary School, 1702 Corbitt St, Shreveport, LA
August 14 – 5:30pm-7:30pm – Pinecrest Mobile Home Park, 6700 Jefferson Paige Rd., Shreveport, LA
September 5 – 6pm-8pm – Matchstem Park, 203 S. Kelly Ave, Oil City, LA
September 19 – 5:30pm-7:30pm – Town of Belcher, Belcher Veterans Memorial Park, 310 Gray St., Belcher, LA
