Caddo Clean Parks is our newest volunteer opportunity in partnership with Shreveport Green. We believe that when our citizens volunteer in our parks, they take a more personal interest in keeping them clean and beautiful.

Three ways you can contribute to the Caddo Clean Parks Campaign:

PICK UP Please do not litter and make sure to clean your area after each park visit. You can also help by picking up litter in the park that other people may have left and by spreading the message of keeping our parks clean. It is also important to pick up after your pets.
EVALUATE Input from our citizens and visitors is an important part of maintaining our parks. If you see inadequate conditions in any of our parks or greenspaces, please use this form to tell us about your concerns.
VOLUNTEER Individuals, non-profit organizations or groups of individuals can volunteer and complete park rehabilitation projects. These projects include clean up days in parks, planting trees, maintaining community gardens and more. Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park is looking for people to join its volunteer naturalist program to assist with nature education and special events, as well as park maintenance and animal care. To become a volunteer team member, completion of 5 hours of training is mandatory.

Minimum age is 18, although teens 16 and older can volunteer if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Persons aged 12-15 who have graduated the Jr. Naturalist Program are also eligible.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation. All league teams are led by volunteer coaches. Coaches play an important role in the community and the lives of children by providing positive reinforcement of individual and team success.

Please complete the following Application and Background Check Consent Form to serve as a volunteer coach with one of our Youth Sports Leagues. A staff member will contact you with more information on becoming a volunteer and completing a background check.
