Recreation

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation provide a diverse slate of social and educational recreation activities which include but not limited to positive socialization with peers, improved communication skills, the growth of friendships, improved leisure skills, appropriate behavior development, enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence, increased self-sufficiency, and a feeling of community and acceptance for all.

PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY

Social interaction through recreation bridges the gap in unfamiliarity, distress and segregation, and promotes positive interactions between different ethnic groups and the broader community. The inherit strength of a community is enhanced through recreation activities that allow people to share cultural and ethnic differences.
